MyDiary 2 App Reviews

The app does not open

I’ve had this app for a while now. Luckily I remember my password but the link to support is broken. The app was last updated in 2014, which shows that the seller is disengaged with the users of this app or hasn’t felt the need for continuous app improvements. Now the app does not open when I click on it, but every other app on my desktop works fine. Well, it looks like I’ll be deleting the app along with all of my past secrets and thoughts...

Its Perfect!

I posted a review of version 1.2.2 saying it perfect if the maker added a way to save the font size and now that that feature has been added in version 1.2.3 I feel its only right to say that this program is truely perfect now. Its exactly what I was looking for. I have a lot going on in this brain of mine and MyDiary 2 helps me get it all out privately.

Password Protected

I was sick of writing in my journals. I wanted something that I would be able to type my thoughts in but not have anyone be able to read them, and My Diary inc. provides that. My journal posts are password protected. Its everything that a dollar should provide.

okay- needs work

it is an okay app. it needs a few updates, like font size and style change option, well, it has the option, but it wont set permanently. the font and size reverts back to factory after each log out. Also, needs a larger spellcheck database, or allow it to utilize your computers dictionary for spellcheck. I am hanging in there MyDiary2, but please get it together or I am going to have to find another/better version diary.

font settings

The default font is set to 24 and in bold type. Im not 12. I did change the font and I expected it to stay the same the next time I opened this application but still the same 24 point font. Either the Font saving button is hard to find or nonexistent. Ill change my 2 star rating when or if this application improves itself.

Gets the job done without fuss

I might be a tad bit more of a simpleton than some of the other reviewers here, but I look at MyDiary 2 as a phenomenal success. Considering the ease of use, MyDiary2 is really phenomenal at allowing the user to empty his or her own thoughts into the program without limitation. The timestamping is accurate and effective, and the program is just an absolute pleasure to use. The clean interface can come across as overly austere on first blush, but I can assure that over time, the paucity of supercillious features will truly make it up to you as this app is just as effective as one could ever use for a personal diary/journal.

Working as described

The program features are working as described, including the sync with iphone. I will give it 5 stars when I can add photographs.

Bittersweet

Its a great app for thoughts, video and pics add-ins would be great. Also, I would love to log in and be able to see the font I previously saved without going back to it everytime.

The best Ive found yet!

This app has been something that I have thought about myself for a long time. I really enjoy getting my thoughts and feelings about things out on this platform because of the password protection and the simplisity of the UI. Some things that I would imporve would be the ease of bolding thoughts or specific words in the document just like I would in Microsoft Word. Something else that I would like in the next update would be the ability to print specific items or pages, the same as a word processor. Thank you so much for creating this app and keep up the good work! I cant wait for the next update!

Password

This would have been great, and it was while I could use it. Then I forgot my password. While thats my fault, there is no "Plan B" to retrieve it or change it with a security question. So not only am I no longer able to safely keep track of my thoughts, but I cant access my entries from before, either. If that can be fixed with an update, Id be more than thrilled.

Just Okay

This app is just okay. It is almost too minimalistic. I took it for a spin, but ultimately settled on DayOne instead. DayOne is $10 versus only $1 for this app, but DayOne is much, much better. I recommend that program over this one. That said, this little program does, on a basic level, get the job done.

Almost There

This app is nearly perfect. Its got a great UI and is very simple to use. I would have given it 5 stars however, Id like to see photo and video integration and maybe a better tagging system, perhaps 1 using words, not just colors. Overall however, well done.

Good app

But this has COMPLETELY DELETED MY ENTRIES TWO DIFFERENT TIMES. I had about 30 entries each time when unexpectedly, they were deleted. FIXTHIS i will not be using this app any longer!!

very simple…great for $1

I would like it if the update would allow labeling of the Tags. I think it is nice to seperate thoughts into different tags but it would be nice to label them for quick choosing of future entries…that would make my rating 5 stars!

Well...

This app isnt too bad, but I would just change the fact that...well...THAT THE MEANING OF "LOOK BACK ON MEMORIES" MEANS TO SEE THE TITLES< NOT THE ENTRIES!!!!!!!! So much for a diary. Dont waste your money, people. This app stinks. :(

Great App!

This app is wonderful for keeping track of my thoughts and feelings. I love how the app allows me to categorize my entries with different colored tabs. The corresponding iOS app is great too, especially since you can sync the two over wifi.

It does exactly what it says...

I love this app, no where on it does it say you can add a picture, so when you download it you should already know it is a basic journal/diary program. It works great, I love it!

disappointed

I am very disappointed with this app. Wish I had never got it. Went with a different journal. There is no help for it. It doesnt flow…for example, you cant see dates like a calendar…you cant go back and edit…this thing is a mess.

Cute. But sneaky.

This is a cute little note taker, but "buyer beware" what thoughts and feelings you share with it! Even with the privacy features activated, MyDiary2 logs your password keys into your systems log. Anyone who has access to that log can read your password. I dont want key counters, so I am eliminating MyDiary2 to prevent further breaches.

cool :D

this app is a is better than writting on a note book .. lol and as Whitefirefox211 said .. possibly that on the next up date we could place photos on the diary ! :D.
