Thks to the dev’, it is a very goof apps. but since the upgrade, we’ve lost the sync between Iphone and mac version. Will Get five stars with this option. Cheers.

Im extremely annoyed that synchronising with iPhone app doesnt work anymore. Also I installed the app on my second computer, but it just wont import the old data, which is really frustrating. :( Hopefully that can be fixed soon.

it’s a good, basic diary app. I would like to have the possibility to add pictures to my entries though.

sorry, my english … The „old“ MyDiary on the Iphone cannot be integrated. I do not succeed in fullfilling past days. I did not find any possibility to make a passkey for opening the app. I did not succeed in contacting the support.

Finally a place where I can keep my thoughts and have a password so no one can get in! thanks!

Kind of a gimmick to give us the Mac App for free but you have to pay to put it on your mobile device. Plus, not cool that the sync doesnt match all devices together. Only the entries written on my iphone show up on my Mac when I sync but it doesnt work the other way around; what I wrote on my Mac doesnt show up on my iphone so I dont get the continuation of ideas.

I like the idea but I was hoping for something with a password. Anyone could go on my computer and read everything in MyDiary. I like how its organized though, the ap I use for diary-keeping doesnt have that and I wish it did.

I looked at a couple of dedicated journalling programs first but they were overly complicated, set up like email and looked like being at WORK. Thing is great, but a bit too limited. Formatting needs some improvement. When I try to bold a selected word, it bolds the entire entry? Same with underline. When I hit Command S to save, that seems to make the blue "sync" button blink instead of saving the entry... so you have to pick Save from the pull down menu instead. Not a big deal as it seems to save automatically on a regular basis anyway. Be nice if links could be pasted in as hyperlinks to, so I can click on them in diary entries to open up the sites Im referring to. Love the clear lay out and colour coding possibilities of entries. Use it every day. Recommended if you just want to get down thoughts and lists with password protection, without the hassle of a more complex program / navigational headaches.

Bought this with the hopes of a simple but powerful diary. I just want to be able to highlight and underline, but when you do so it highlights the whole text. Isnt that counter-intuitive? Please do something about that...

This WAS a great app for recording random thoughts and notes to myself. I downloaded it about two months ago while it was still free. I liked how you can sort your entries by colour and have different "journals." I didnt sync to any devices, just used it on my MBP. I opened it up today and for some reason my entries were gone and the date was set to 1982-02-12 11:00 AM. I know for sure that no one erased or hacked. I tried to restore from backup but I guess that was only from/for the mobile device. I hadnt done any of the updates (theres only been one for memorizing font size). I did the update, thinking it might actually be required, but nothing happened. Thankfully none of my entries were really that important. Im going to look for other solutions, but consider this a warning that this app may erase your entries.

The computer app is great, but the iPhone up doesnt allow syncing with the mac even though Im on the same wifi network including that the phone is connected via USB at the same time. Actually both devices dont see each other, so it is impossible to sync my entries. It is also impossible to edit the text: colour, font,….. So to the ones that would like to make it pretty, forget about this app

It tried to change the color of selected text and it changed all text color. It is not possible to highlight text. It is not possible to use bold text. Also the text format tools are not intiuitive and they have nothing to offer. Very dissapointed tough.

there is no way to sync this app!! there is no way to contact the developer!! this is a complete waste of time and money!!

i bought both this one and iPhone app. could sync first, but now i cant. sync with iPhone app was the main reason i chose this. so please fix it, please!

With MyDiary 2 (1.2.3) for Mac (OSX Lion) and one (1.0.1) for iPhone 4S, sync through Wi-Fi doest work.

with the update I lost everything I wrote… :(

I used this constantly for some three years. I am an avid journal-writer so I wanted to stop spending money on new books. It’s a great app. The font can be changed each time and it’s easy to sort through everything. But the drawback for me is that I cannot save and take the information with me. I like having all my writings together and so, unless I spend a great deal of time writing down my entries into a physical book, I will not be able to keep what I have written thus far.

This did not work on my laptop running El Capitan.

Decent app does what is advertised been using this for a few years until i forgot the passcode. i only wish that there was a way to filter through and see whats written without having to click through every month of each year used. kind of a hassle when i am looking for a specific entry but cannot remember when i wrote it

I was first hesitant writing on my computer for privacy reasons. But this app is very private and text can only be edited or read by passcode entry. I am a very organized person and appreciate the color coding and date/time aspect of MyDiary 2. I use the color codes to seperate my feelings entry, goals and learning strategies. It is easy to use and has basic MLA format. There is currently a way to change your passcode which I read were some concerns about this app. If you enjoy being organized while keeping your thoughts/feelings private, I suggest you try this app! Love it!
