OMGGGGGGGG THERES NO HINT IF YOU FORGET YOUR PASSWORD AND I FORGOT MINE. THANKS ALOT CAUSE NOW I CANT FIX THAT YOUR A REAL GOOD APP ARENT YOU I HATE IT SO MUCH!!!!! I WANT TO WRITE EVEN MORE THAN THE OVER 100 ENTRIES I DID ALREADY BUT NOOOOOOO THERES NO.EFFING.PASSWORD HINT -________- D:< SO UNHELPFUL!!!!

I am glad I tried this out. My favorite feature is the password so I know no one else can read it. I also kind of like the fact I can change the font everytime it opens to whatever I feel like since Im a strange person who has mood swings. I just wish the font would stay that way in that particular entry even after I close the application. I also wish it was more colorful and that you could upload pictures and such. Its great for someone just starting out, but Im considering geting a different one, that has more features. Still, I do like this one.

I used myDiary 2 as the name implies, a daily diary. It is easy to use and it dates and timestamps each entry. And it shows a month at a time so you can thumg through monthly entries. The improvements I would suggest is that, when you set a font, it remembers the font between restarts so that you dont lose the setting. Believe it or not, there are more readable fonts than Sans Serif, and 24 points is much too large.

My only wish is, that when I open the app it opens at the same size I had it at when I had it open last and that it stays in the same area on my desktop. Currently is does none of those.

I stopped using my diary for a while and completely forgot the passcode. They have absolutely no option where you can reset the password. What a waste of 99 cents considering I cannot even get into the program.

I should have kept using this program. This is still, what I consider, a nice simple program that fits my needs. I say stay with simplicity…. Its fast and makes life so much easier. Thanks... Original Review Below They seem to have the sync problem corrected if there was one. I just got into the game. I love the program. Finally, I have the features I want without so much stuff that I dont even want to use the program. Color coding for Categories, works on iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone and on the MAC. If you should have any trouble with setup, tell support what the problem is and ask for specific directions, it helps. My search for my perfect diary is done.

The idea is wonderful but there is no synching - at least not in a user-friendly way - and no instructions for how to sync. It only says go to settings but settings is not an option on the toolbar. It also appears that you have to pay a different price for the iPhone app.

If all you need is an app that organizes time-stamped, encrypted, fixed-format text files, this is the 99¢ app for you. It does not seem to actually remember the formatting of your entries when you re-open the app, which is what turns me off from using it. But if you dont care about formatting, then this app is a deal.

I wanted a very stripped down/simple diary app that was password protected, and this gives me ALMOST everything I want. As someone posted earlier, it would be nice to have a password hint or recovery option JUST in case. The other thing that I think would be nice is to add the option to have the app require a password if you navigate away from the app or its been for a certain amount of time. As far as I can tell, as long as the app is open, it wont require the password again, and I wish it wasnt like that, but overall its not a huge deal, especially for the price. The second thing I would suggest is to create a blank space margin at the bottom of the text box so once you reach the bottom of the text box youre not typing RIGHT next to the text resizer; its very distracting. One more thing I would add is the ability to create more categories or tags than just the color coding--I can make do with it, but if options are added in the future, that would be handy. I look forward to future versions!

Only thing I would suggest is being able to add pictures.

I like this diary enough. I would like to be able to add an event to a day…for example, if I missed adding an entry yesterday because I wasnt home, I would like to be able to record an entry for yesterdays date instead of being stuck writing the entry on the current day. Hopefully that will be in a future update.

So far I like this program, the only thing I would like better is if I could somehow keep more than one journal in the program for example keep a journal of my personal thoughts and another of my medical notes, just as an example. I have a couple journals that I keep on two different parts of my life but that I need to keep separate for personal reasons and I would like to be able to do that in this journal. If this is a possiblilty that I am not realizing maybe someone could get back to me on this an then I will raise my rateing to 5 stars. Pictures would be and additional plus!

I have been using this app. It works good when I have a simple thought that I want to vent. Unfortunately, Ive had SUCH GREAT ISSUES syncing to my laptop. I do get the "sync complete" but as I browse through my lap, all my iphone entries are nowhere. Quite frustrating especially when I have to boggle between one and the other. Its ok.

For a $1.00 app this is excellent. No doubt there are diaries and journals out there with more whistles and bells, but for the raw beginner, this is worth more than its cost. Quite good.

I like that I entries are shown by date and that more than one entry can be made for a date. What is missing are more formatting options. I can make the font size larger or smaller, make the text bold or italic, change the color of the text… that sort of thing. What I wish I could do…. bold or change the color and size of specific words or sentences and to add bullet points or numbered lists.

I really do like the ease of use that is part of this programs design. Easy to get around and well laid out. 2 things bug me. 1. You cannot choose multiple fonts in one entry. Sometimes I want to bold a word here and there and cannot do so. 2. I want to export text and the program allows it, but I would like the option of exporting text in reverse time order, in other words from beginning to end, not just from most recent to oldest. Other than that, it is a solid program.

Crashing under OS X Mavericks. Please update the app so works under Mavericks. Also need features like Window size preference and location when open setting (or remember what size and location was when it was last closed). Need Font peference option that will be remembered.

I have no idea if I’d like this app or not. All it does is crash.

I know it’s only $1, but I purchased this app and it doesn’t work at all. I try to open it and it crashes. Don’t buy!
